It has now been 1 year Since Rick Hammet has been
a client at Fitness Together . We wanted to share Rick's success
with you.
Rick started with us in September 2005.
When Rick started with us his stats were as follows:
- 56 inch waist which is now down to a 36 inch waist. He has dropped
10 pant sizes
- His total Cholesterol levels were at 280. Now he is in the normal
range
- Insulin dependent diabetic. Now off all meds blood sugar is
normal
- He had chronic sleep Apnea. Now back to normal - no sleep problems
- Chronic lower back problems. Now no back problems at all
- Constant painful knees. Now pain free
- Used to wear a 3XL Jacket. Yesterday bought a jacket size Medium.
Rick went on to tell me: "It has been just over 1 year since
I walked into your office in Novi and I stated my goal as 100 lbs
to lose. I thought I might as well aim high and I am very happy
to have surpassed that number. More importantly, I have a clean
bill of health from my doctor on all my blood work and my health.
have learned a lot in a year. I know how to exercise and how to
eat healthy".
He goes on to say "I can not believe how far I have come.
I feel strong, healthy, energetic and alive. Life is great again"

This week, it was with great enthusiasm and confidence that I signed
up for another 40 weeks of sessions at Fitness Together –
West Bloomfield. In three months, Fitness Together has truly changed
my life. I feel better today – both physically and mentally
– than I have in 10 years. Over the past ten years, not only
did I neglect my body, I was literally destroying it. Below is a
photo of me in an emergency room on April 25, 2006 – bloated,
20 pounds overweight and thoroughly disgusted with myself.
Two days later, on my 41st birthday, I vowed to give myself the
best gift I could. I made a commitment to get my physical and mental
well-being back on track.
After hearing about the wonderful experience my wife Barbara was
having with her trainer Sarah and your staff, I turned to Fitness
Together in mid-May. Jim – always the epitome of optimism
and encouragement – hooked me up with your trainer Russ. What
a Godsend.
Russ has the perfect blend of knowledge (the man recites terms
of muscles, physiology and isometrics like they’re a second
language); motivation (he always seems to know when I need to be
pushed some more and when to let up); inspiration (the man is in
great shape); and humor (which is essential to work with a nut like
me). I swear sometimes my ab muscles hurt as much from laughing
as from the exercises he puts me through. He truly has been a partner
in rebuilding my physical well-being, which in turn has great impact
on my mental well-being.
So here I am just 3 months into this new journey and outlook on
life. I’m so pleased with the results so far. But I’m
not content to rest on my laurels. I have so much more that I know
I can accomplish with Fitness Together. This is all possible with
Russ and your incredible staff, who always make me and other clients
feel like family. You truly do change lives!

After getting married in 2002, I became comfortable
with relaxing with my husband and drinking wine almost every night.
My exercise activity level sunk to an all-time low. I was content
and happy with my hubby and neither of us was excited about working
out. Slowly, I gained a few pounds and my friends told me not to
worry, “that’s ok, you’re in love” but within
2 years I gained 10 pounds. On my 4’11½” frame,
that was a lot.
In 2004, as I continued to fool myself, I would do an occasional
workout at Bally’s and pat myself on the back. I even joined
Curves for 6 months and joined LA Weight Loss. However, I never
lost weight, in fact I continued to gain and I had terrible eating
habits. I actually became convinced that my thyroid was causing
the weight gain and sluggishness, so I went to the doctor. They
did the blood work and told me it wasn’t my thyroid but since
I was in my 40’s it was my age and my metabolism had slowed
down. My clothes were getting tight and I had to begin buying larger
sizes. I was discouraged.
In December 2005, as I was trying to decide what my 2006 New Year’s
resolution would be; I made a commitment to lose weight. But how
was I going to do it. Then I remembered hearing about Fitness Together
and decided to give them a call. My commitment was high, but my
confidence was low, after all, the doctor told me with age comes
weight problems.
I was introduced Sarah and was skeptical, after all I had been
trying to lose weight for the last 2 years, but she believed she
could help, but more importantly she believed I could do it, even
in my 40’s. I began my workouts; 3 days of weight training
with Sarah and 3 days of cardiovascular. I remember the first week;
by Friday I was exhausted!! I realized I hadn’t really been
working out at Curves or Bally’s; I was just going through
the motions. Well, each week I did my cardio and weight training
and got a handle on my diet and after 2-3 weeks, I began loosing
.5-1 lb per week. I was discouraged, because I thought it should
have been more but Sarah was so up beat and said that I was loosing
at a good pace. In the beginning, I really didn’t believe
her, but by March, the small increments of weight loss began adding
up, and then April came and my weight continued to drop. The neat
thing was that I also was becoming stronger and I wasn’t hungry.
Sarah was motivating and supportive and made the workouts fun and
varied.
I have lost 15 pounds, lost 7% body fat and gone down 2 sizes
since January 2006. I have more energy and look better now at
45 than I did when I was in my 20’s! Thanks Sarah!! Fitness
Together really works!!

I joined Fitness Together in April of 2006 a little
skeptical but was proven wrong. I had a baby a year ago and needed
that push to loose about 20 lbs. When I had my assessment I was
horrible. Body fat was poor, RHR was average, step was poor, bench
was poor and flexibility was average.
The Fitness Together team quickly put me on a 1200 calorie diet
and workout 3 days a week. Now three months later and 10lbs lighter
and very toned, everything has gone up to above average and excellent
with my overall change of 118%.. I feel better and look great. Once
a skeptic now a believer. Thanks team Russ, Jim, and Sarah. Only
10lbs to go and back into the size 6 suites.

Since I have been working out with a personal trainer at Fitness
Together in West Bloomfield, I have lost over 14 pounds and dropped
two clothing sizes. I have also increased the strength in my arms,
legs, and lower back. I have seen improvements in my balance and
coordination, greatly increased my range of motion in my legs and
arms, improved my ability to move easily and quickly complete daily
functional tasks, and have increased my overall energy levels.
All the personal trainers at Fitness Together are professional,
caring, well trained and motivating. However, my personal trainer
since August, 2005, Jim, is my personal favorite. He is extremely
motivating, patient, caring, yet constantly pushes me and my muscles
into working harder.
I am very proud of the results. I have not yet reached my desired
weight loss but once I do I will work to maintain my improved health
and fitness by continuing healthy, low calorie eating habits, continue
walking four to five times per week for 30 to 60 minutes, and of
course, continue to work out at least three times per week for 45
minutes with my personal trainer.
Jim’s jokes are funny, but more importantly, he is very knowledgeable
about physical fitness and physical training. He is very professional
and caring. Jim motivates his clients through positive feedback,
and through gentle and consistent encouragement. Jim carefully increases
the levels of difficulty of each individual workout, thereby making
each session challenging and effective.
I strongly recommend working out with a personal trainer to anyone
who wants to improve his or her overall health and fitness, body
strength, functional motor skills, and range of motion of all muscles.
Increased energy and stamina are additional benefits. So, stop by
and say “hi” to the friendly staff and hard working
clients at Fitness Together in West Bloomfield. It’s easy
to get “hooked” on feeling and looking good.

To all the Great Staff at Fitness Together:
My name is Brent Drown and I joined Fitness Together back in June
of 2005 and I cannot even begin to tell you how alive I feel. When
I joined Fitness Together I really had no idea what to expect. But
let me tell you it is the best decision I have ever made in my life.
When I started I wasn’t necessarily a weight loss client
but I wanted to get stronger and lose the fat around my waist and
get more muscular. My body fat composition when I started was around
24% and I weighted 220. It is now April of 2006 and my body fat
is right around 17% and I weight in around 208 and I have gone down
2 pant sizes and now I look for tight fitted shirts and tuck them
in to show off my nice physique. So as you can see the numbers don’t
lie.
I have Jim Simbe as my personal trainer and I can tell you he is
one of the best there is. He gets me motivated and the results I
want and helps me attain my goals. He keeps me focused on my accomplishments
and helps me reach my fitness goals. I will say this too that Sarah,
Matt, and Lisa and all the trainers I have had a pleasure talking
to or working out with handle themselves with the utmost professionalism
you could ever ask for.
Let me tell you this is not easy to do but it is very possible.
You just have to put your heart, mind and soul into this, but your
goals can be reached one step at a time. You just have to have the
desire to change. The trainers can help you and guide you but you
are the one that has to want it and are willing to put the time
and effort into it.
I can say this with absolute certainty. I am in better shape at
38 years old then I was when I was 21 years old. I have made this
a lifetime commitment. So will you???? I think you should and you
will not regret it. Make fitness apart of your life.
Most people don’t hesitate to spend a lot of money on silly
stuff that we don’t really need, why not invest in yourself.
I am definitely on the path that I want to be on and I want to thank
everyone at Fitness Together for helping me get into the best shape
of my life and continues to do so. There is no turning back now.
I will make fitness a daily routine for the rest of my life.

As my membership is coming to an end this week, I wanted to let
you know how much I have both appreciated and enjoyed joining Fitness
Together. Sarah has been great to work with and has pushed and inspired
me to come as far as I have. She shows a true interest in the success
of the client and I owe a great deal of my progress to her. The
rest of the staff at the West Bloomfield location also have been
great and very inspiring and professional.
To often these days, you only hear about the problems and issues.
I just wanted to take this time to say something good about a great
bunch of people.

I have been attending sessions for about one and
a half years. For the first few months it was very tough for me
but I stayed the course. I am so happy I did, as I am now well on
my way to achieving many of my goals, so far thanks to the persistence
of my trainer Sarah I am seeing results. I have lost about 25 pounds.
I have dropped 2 dress sizes my energy levels are great and I really
do feel so much better all round. The sessions go quickly and I
am getting more treadmill walking and bicycling in. These are not
my first choice of ways to spend my time but now seem to be worth
it.

| My quest for fitness began in late summer of 2002,
when I made a commitment to get my weight down to a healthier level
and start getting some exercise. I began with a moderate and manageable
goal of getting exercise in the form of a half-hour of walking daily,
and lost about 20 pounds over about a two-year period.
I started working out at Fitness Together in July of 2004. Since
doing so, my rate of weight loss has more than doubled. In the ten
months since I started, I have lost twenty-nine pounds, dropped
three sizes, and significantly improved my physical fitness. I am
stronger, and my posture and balance are better. I have more endurance
now than at any point in my life, even though I am 49 years old.
Since last December, for the first time in my life, I have been
able to run continuously for a mile without dropping down to a walk.
All of this is due to the guidance and support of the wonderful
trainers at Fitness Together. They are both knowledgeable and creative,
and put effort into making the workouts not only effective but fun
and interesting. Equally importantly, they are invested in the success
of their clients, providing encouragement and emotional support
and sharing joy and pride in their accomplishments.
For someone like me, who has never been athletic or felt any connection
to sports or physical activity, working out at Fitness Together
has been not only a physically but an emotionally transforming experience.
I started at Fitness Together with the goal of reaching some minimally
acceptable fitness level, and the hope of developing some kind of
sports skills that would enable me to enjoy the social activity
of participating in at least one sport with other people. I now
feel that I really can fit in, thanks to my trainers accepting me
and believing in me. This is an awesomely healing experience after
a childhood spent feeling bad about myself because I was not athletic.
Especially to those who grew up as non-athletes like me, I highly
recommend Fitness Together. It really can change your life!

After trying every program under the sun, including Weight Watchers,
Curves, South Beach, and Opti-fast, in desperation I tried Fitness
Together. Since Halloween 2004, I have lost approximately 30 pounds
and many inches. In addition, I have regained a great deal of energy,
flexibility, self-esteem, and have increased my determination to
reach my goal.
My hat is off to Fitness Together (and Lisa); your philosophy,
'1 Client, 1 Trainer, and 1 Goal' has given me back my life.

| 2003 was a crazy year for me! I met, fell in love,
and married the man of my dreams, sold 2 houses, bought a new house,
and traveled about 22 weeks of the year. Along the way I had a couple
medical issues, and just didn't have the time to work out or be concerned
about my diet. If you ever traveled for a living, you know how difficult
it is to eat healthy or exercise on the road. At the beginning of
this year, I was determined to make a change, and stop making excuses!
Thanks to Fitness Together (and Sarah) I've begun making those
changes. I'm feeling better then I have in years, and I'm beginning
to see my old body come back J In the past 5 months, I have lost
20 lbs and about 19 inches. What I enjoy about Fitness Together
is that you're not doing the same old boring exercises. They push
you to challenge yourself and try new things. By making a commitment
to be in the studio, I am making a commitment to change my body.
I'm about half way to my goal, and am sure I'll reach it with the
help of Fitness Together.

I wanted to thank you and your staff for all the encouragement,
drive and kindness you have given me during my sessions.
I especially want to thank "Sarah". Sarah has been there
through all my good and bad days and I really appreciate it!
I'm so glad that I stopped procrastinating on signing up at Fitness
Together. I have tried every other diet and equipment and never
got the results I did at Fitness Together!!
I have lost 20 pounds, lowered my cholesterol 108 mg/dL
and feel better all around. Everyone asks me where I work out and
what do I do to get in shape. I tell them to call Fitness Together
of course! I'm planning on continuing further sessions to keep myself
healthier and physically fit for the years to come, especially now
that I am a new grandma.

| I just wanted to thank you for all that you have
done for me. You are an amazing trainer and I am so grateful to
have had the opportunity to work with you. You have really changed
my life tremendously. I feel more energized, confident and joyful
than I ever have before. As a result of this change, I have become
more active in my personal life and have enjoyed having the ability
to play more with my nieces and nephews. It meant so much to me
to receive a compliment from my nephew, Nathan, upon noticing the
dramatic change in my external and internal appearance. My nieces
were also very excited to meet and work with you. I am very disappointed
that our sessions will soon be ending; however, with my increased
motivation I am very confident that I will continue to work hard
in order to maintain my current body weight and strength. Fitness

| Sure, I had an objective to lose weight when I
started with Fitness Together. But it didnt take long before
I realized that my time at Fitness Together with Michael was more
about becoming healthier. The discipline of regular exercise and
the encouragement to not to give up has made a healthier me. Im
much stronger today, demonstrated by the fact that I could only
do 2 full push ups when I started and now Im able to
do 30. My cholesterol is now under 200 for the first time. Ive
gone from a size 18 to a 14.
My son was asked to describe his mother he said that she likes
to exercise. A year ago that description would have never crossed
his mind. And oh yea, Ive lost 30 Pounds. The services
provided by Fitness Together werent the sole contributor to
all the results but they were the catalyst to other actions Ive
taken in my life. Eating better foods and fewer calories requires
individual discipline and cant be delivered within the studio,
but the motivation from Michael and others on the Fitness Together
Team sure helps. Thank You!

| From being an overweight kid to a snacking all the
time, medical student, my 267 lbs on my 6'5" frame could often
be concealed with the right suit but the effects on my joints and
cardiovascular health were inescapable.
Many circumstances have converged to redirect my personal efforts
in regards to exercise. The most significant one was joining Fitness
Together. The initial evaluation was free and fun.
Currently, at 50 pounds lighter I am much closer to my goal. Much
to my delight (and spouse's) muscles are popping up. I have gained
significant insight on how to better empower my patients to meet
their lifestyle objectives. I am a firm believer that children should
know their grandparents and become great grandparents themselves.

| Since Joining Fitness Together, I have lost a total

1 year. I have truly been amazed at my progress. I have now lost

| I started working with Fitness Together almost 8 months ago. I was
38 and hadn't worked out regularly in a couple of years. I was very
concerned with the additional pounds I was putting on. The "one
client, one trainer" philosophy was exactly what I was looking
for. It's much less intimidating and much more motivating than training
at a gym or health club. I feel and look better than I have in a long

| As I embark on my third (3rd) consecutive round of health inspired
torture, I just wanted to send you, your staff and especially Dawn
a note of thanks. It has absolutely been worth it!
Back in January, I was in the worst shape of my life. And it was
affecting not only the way I looked but also the way I felt physically.
After being very physically active for much of my life, work and
other demands on my time made it difficult (or maybe easy) for me
to drop the (:-):-) Medicine :-):-)) ball on regular exercise and
consistent eating habits.
Then came Fitness Together and Dawn. I continue to be impressed
by her professionalism and genuine interest in helping me help myself
become a more physically (and in turn mentally) fit person.
Today, I can truly say that I feel 100% more FIT ......
- Focused in my approach to exercise
- Intelligent about food choices and eating habits ("Don't
starve yourself.... eat smaller more frequent mini meals... drink
lots of water...create a caloric deficit" not a caloric depletion)
- Inspired -- By Dawn and you because you "Talk the Talk"

clients and Trainers who provide encouragement. By my own progress
on the "Road to Recovery".
- True to my commitment to maintaining the exercise habits that
I'm being grounded in as a Fitness Together client.
I have seen and been very pleased with my progress from Day 1.
But, I knew that I had really made progress, when I WAS MISTAKEN
AS A FITNESS TOGETHER TRAINER by another client!!!!!!!!! It really

| I have trained with many different trainers over the past 12
years and know how to lift weights appropriately as a result. The
accountability to the trainer is what keeps me going and motivated.
What is SPECIAL about Fitness Together is not only the one-on-one
focus of the trainers and the full attention devoted to me during
the training, but also the unique core training that their exercises
entail. Balancing on a bosu, dyna-disc, and working out with a ball
has worked to make me feel stronger all over and from the inside
out more than any other personal training I have ever had!
The personalities here are wonderful. Mike and Dawn have trained
me. Each one offers a little different workout and a little different
edge.
I would recommend Fitness Together even if you belong to a club
already, as I do. The privacy of each studio here helps keep both
me and my trainer focused on my workout.

| I joined Fitness Together approximately a year and a half ago,
but only really got serious about working out this past summer.
What a difference it's made in my attitude, my emotional stability,
and my general health. My latest bone density test showed that everything
is stable. As someone who could well have had a diagnosis of osteoporosis,
this was great news. My cholesterol levels were way down, too. I've
been through the worst crisis of my life this summer and handled
it well, staying strong and focused when I needed to. I owe all
of this to Fitness Together and to Ashley, my wonderful trainer.
Just this morning I learned that I have lost 20 pounds since
the middle of June. I am astonished at how easily the weight came
off. All that increased muscle mass must be burning calories like
crazy!
Soon I will be in Phoenix, Arizona. One of my goals out there is
to climb Squaw Peak. Ashley has designed a special cardio program
to help me reach this goal. When I get to the top, I will certainly
be thinking of her. And when I get back home, I'll continue working
out because there is no doubt in my mind that my well-being has
improved because of my devotion to Fitness Together and their devotion
to me.

I want to take this opportunity to thank you for Dawn. Since meeting
her, my life has changed dramatically.
Within a two year period I went through a very dramatic change
in my life. I went from being a career focused individual to a stay
at home, sleep deprived, mommy of two infants. Not only had I given
up any form of exercise I had become a human garbage disposal for
my two picky eaters.
Dawn has trained me to be healthy, flexible and physically strong.

| Working with the Fitness Together staff has been an investment
in myself and it has changed my life for the better!
Last year I had ACL knee surgery after experiencing a tennis injury.
I had gained weight with inactivity and my muscles had weakened.
I wanted to get back into shape and began working out on my own
at a sports club. The busyness of my daily schedule with work and
family resulted in days missed in the gym and my progress was slow.
In January 2004, I visited Fitness Together and told the trainer
I wanted to ski this winter and get the "ole me back".
I was set up with a program based on my goals. After three weeks,
I felt more energetic and my endurance had improved. I began to
loose weight with the staff's encouragement and sage advice. By
six weeks, I noticed a major difference in my muscle tone and body
shape. Now at eight weeks, I have a better version of me and I like
it!
I have made the commitment to continue my progress. My goal is
to "make the best better" through investing the "sweat
equity" of working out at Fitness Together. Thank you for helping
make my goals a reality!

| I started working out with Ashley in November 2003 and had thought
I would go for 20 sessions and then incorporate things I learned
from Ashley into my home routine. My goals were to lose about 5-7
pounds and to have better muscle tone and cardiac fitness.
I've lost 7 pounds now and my clothes fit better than they've fit
in several years. I can tell my arms seem more toned as well and
I'm stronger than I've ever been. I love working out with Ashley.
She makes the workouts very challenging, but is always encouraging
of my efforts. I enjoy my workouts and come twice a week. I don't
think I would work out with the same intensity if I did the workouts
on my own. I do work out at home in between sessions, but I know
it's not the same.
I like knowing that I have a set time to work out and that everything
will
be available for me. There's no waiting and undivided attention.
I plan to continue my twice-weekly routine at least for the forseeable
future.

| I have thought about getting into an exercise program for many years.
Like most people every year I would make my New Years resolutions
and my top resolution would always be to lose weight and get myself
back into shape and, as always I would never get started. I have also
tried many diets which helped me lose some weight (which I now realize
was only water) only to gain it all back again.
Last year I decided to visit my doctor for a physical and he told
me that my cholesterol levels were way too high and with a family
history of heart disease he suggested that it would be beneficial
for me to start an exercise and nutrition program.
I have been a member of Ballys since 1976, I never really
liked the atmosphere at the club, and it was always crowded, dirty
and intimidating. I felt overwhelmed by the equipment and only was
comfortable doing my cardio. I then came across Fitness Together.
Fitness Together was the perfect answer I was looking for. Oneon-one
individualized personal attention, working with a qualified fitness
professional in my own fully equipped private and clean studio.
For the first time in my life I was educated about losing weight
the right way. The importance of exercising safely and correctly,
how to eat better, the benefits of cardio, it all finally came together
for me. I am now doing many activities that I never could do in
the past.
I have finally lost 15lbs and down 3 pant sizes. For the first
time in many years my posture has improved, I now feel great, I
have so much more energy, I am stronger than I have ever been, and
my stress levels are much lower. I truly believe that this is one
of the best investments I have ever made for myself.
Thanks to Fitness Together and especially Ashley, who has been
patient and very encouraging and has helped me every step of the
way, my cholesterol levels have dropped from 240 to 170 and
I feel better than I ever have!
